The iconic Stressless® recliner was crafted on the scenic west coast of Norway, in the small community of Sykkylven, where the main factory remains to this day. Founded by Jens Ekornes in 1934, the company has maintained a proud tradition of craftsmanship, producing some of the world’s finest furniture. In a region where resources were once scarce, every piece was built to endure—a timeless philosophy that still guides every creation within the factory walls.
